From Basic Science to Human, Animal and Environmental Impact
Focus on Freshwater CyHABs
The CyHABs research consortium is about coordinated research with unified objectives.
We're Seeking Strategic Partnerships
The CyHABs Research Consortium is seeking strategic partnerships with existing CyHABs groups.
A Common Goal
Our unified purpose is to study the complex environmental problem of CyHABs with an overarching aim of protecting human and animal life, assuring food security, and promoting environmental sustainability in the US.
The CyHABs Research Consortium is a multidisciplinary, multiinstitutional collaborative team of scientists, engineers, and social scientists to research CyHABs from basic science to human impact. Our focus is on Freshwater CyHABs research.
Research in the consortium is at the intersection of biology, engineering, human and veterinary medicine, toxicology, diagnosis and disease prevention and environmental sustainability.
CyHABs are unpredictable and increasing in frequency and severity worldwide.
Despite their effect on human and animal health, research on CyHABs in the US remains uncoordinated and without unifying objectives. The goal of our Consortium is to solve this problem. The consortium will develop strategic partnerships with existing HABs groups, like the National HAB Committee.
